I'm writing because I've been working for the past two years on a full color pictorial book on vintage surfboards and memorabilia dating from 1769 to the present. We have nearly 1,000 photos of the old boards and related items.
I saw your photography online and would like to include you in the list of surf icons that are part of the project. And I'm really hopeful you will be interested in participating.
Some of the contributing photographers to date are; Jeff Divine, John Witzig, Lance Trout, Bill Romerhaus, Brian Bielmann, Erik Aeder, Tom Keck, Grant Ellis and others.
Authors that have contributed chapters to the book include; Drew Kampion, Gary Lynch, Randy Rarick, Bob Smith (Australia), Roger Mansfield (U.K.), Ben Marcus, and number of other surf historian / authors.
I hope you join in, I know you'll be stoked with the final product.
If you think you will be able to make some contributions, here's what I can still use... I need photos from the 70s - ideally with well know surfers from the time like Lopez, Bertlemann, Fitz, PT, MR, Shayne Horan and so on.
We are including a bio on each of the contributing photographers so I would also need to know exactly how you would like your bio to appear in the book (be sure to mention your web site and any other projects you would like the public to be aware of). Also it would be great if you include two photos of you...one surfing and another behind the camera.
